Guernica - Film Review

The Film Guernica Is a historic film based on the civil war that occurred in Spain 1937. The film is about an American journalist who joins forces with a local press-office censor to work against the resticitions put on the press throughout the civil war. German forces attack the town of Guernica not only tearing apart the town but the bombings also tearing apart the love between the American journalist and the local press-office censor.

I liked the accuracy of the film towards Spains history. I also like how realistic the Film was made and also how it went into more depth about how war tore apart families and loved ones and caused grief for everyone that lost someone they love and care about to the horrors of war. It also gave me an insight into how restricted the press were to report what was actually happening in the civil war to the outside world and also how the Germans bombed and destroyed the town of Guernica without anyone knowing.

Insidious - Film Review

Insidious is a horror movie that bases the connection between the Lamberts son, Dalton and the paranormal. Strange occurrences happen in the Lamberts house after Josh and Renai Lamberts son falls into an unexplained coma after having an accident in the attic. Josh and Renai Lambert find out that Dalton can travel in astral projection. However, Daltans spirit is lost in a place called The Further an Its Josh's job to help bring him back using his own astral projection abilities to accomplish the dangerous and difficult task to bring his son back.

Insidious contains many jump scares which keeps the audience alert and on the edge of their seats throughout the movie. In my opinion every horror movie should have jump scares as the audience will not see it coming or predict it. This adds to the entertainment and scariness of the movie. Moreover, the background music throughout the build up to the most scary parts of the movie adds and creates the tension that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Lastly, the sound effects make the jump scares even more terrifying.

Spectre - Film Review

Spectre is the most recent addition to the James Bond movie Franchise, starring Daniel Craig. There are various genres that spectre would fit in to. The main genres are Action Film and Spy Film. This movie goes into more depth about James Bonds past in which he discovers an organisation which was behind villains from previous movies sinister actions. Bond discovers the truth behind the organisation, Spectre.

The main thing I liked about the movie Spectre was the depth it goes into the Bonds childhood and character. I also liked the fast and difficult action sequences which were portrayed throughout the film especially the spectacular car chase between James Bond and David Bautistas character Mr Hinx. Lastly, I liked how they brought the previous James Bond movies together and explained the reasons behind each villians actions in those movies.
