Guernica - Film Review

The Film Guernica Is a historic film based on the civil war that occurred in Spain 1937. The film is about an American journalist who joins forces with a local press-office censor to work against the resticitions put on the press throughout the civil war. German forces attack the town of Guernica not only tearing apart the town but the bombings also tearing apart the love between the American journalist and the local press-office censor.

I liked the accuracy of the film towards Spains history. I also like how realistic the Film was made and also how it went into more depth about how war tore apart families and loved ones and caused grief for everyone that lost someone they love and care about to the horrors of war. It also gave me an insight into how restricted the press were to report what was actually happening in the civil war to the outside world and also how the Germans bombed and destroyed the town of Guernica without anyone knowing.
